My Football Journey:
I was 15 years old, already played a lot of different sports but none of them really seemed to interest me. So, that is when I decided to look for a new, more physical sport. That same day I saw a video of Marshawn Lynch running over the saints defense. From that moment, I knew that I wanted to play American Football. After some research, I quickly found out that there was a team in my hometown the “Izegem Tribes”. I saw that there were tryouts in August that year, so I decided to participate. Me at 6’0” 145 pounds was quickly moved to the WR position, not really something that I wanted to do, but I still finished that season. Meanwhile I started lifting weights and felt ready to play a different position next season. Again, I started as a WR, but I felt like I never really had a chance to showcase my other abilities (like throwing). So, I talked to my coaches and asked for just one chance to show my throwing abilities. Immediately I got moved to the QB position. The position that I still play today. From then on, I started training to be an all-round athlete and that’s what I am today, put me anywhere and I’ll play it. Throughout the years, I had the privilege to train with a coach from the Czech Republic. He coached me up and made me the QB who I was during the 2015 and 2016 season. 2016 was my first season as a starting QB, we made it to the national championship but didn’t came home with that win. 2017 is my last year as a junior and I’ll come back stronger and faster, ready to clinge that national title.

My Throwing Motion
I’ve been working on perfecting my throwing motion. I’m working on being less of an arm thrower and on involving my hips more in to the motion. I went to a football camp in Brussels recently, there I got some pointers that will also help me being a better quarterback. The functional training I do at the gym helps a lot with improving my motion and also gives me better strength
